Job summary

Consulting Engineering Services (CES) in Middletown, CT seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design efforts for building projects. You will ensure code compliance, prepare specifications, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include analyzing electrical systems, supporting on-site construction, and interfacing with clients and PMs to meet objectives. PE license is preferred and travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer with 5+ years of experience in building electrical systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and design.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 72, and 101 codes.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.
• PE license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own overall electrical technical content for projects.
• Review design for code compliance; perform NEC/NFPA research.
• Monitor construction progress and respond to RFIs.
• Collaborate with clients and PMs to meet objectives.
• Prepare electrical specifications from start to finish.
• Coordinate documents across engineering and architectural teams.
• Provide technical support to contractors during construction.
• Present electrical design to owner/architect when required.
• Serve as field engineer during construction phase.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
