Job summary

Senior Electrical Engineer in Middletown, CT: responsible for major electrical design determinations under the Project Manager, ensuring safety, accuracy, and code compliance across projects.

You will review designs for NEC/NFPA compliance, coordinate with architectural teams, and provide on-site support during construction. Travel to sites may be required as part of client engagements.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer with minimum 5 years of experience.
• BSEE or equivalent degree or education/experience.
• Proven design experience in building operation, energy use, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and design.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA 72, NFPA 101.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
• PE license strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide major electrical design determinations under PM direction.
• Review designs for code compliance and perform NEC/NFPA research.
• Coordinate contract docs between engineering and architectural teams.
• Coordinate with clients and client PMs to meet objectives.
• Perform on-site investigations and surveys prior to design.
• Prepare electrical specifications through to project completion.
• Support contractors during construction and respond to RFIs.
