Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design power distribution, fire alarm and lighting systems for commercial and healthcare facilities. The role requires performing calculations, preparing specifications, and ensuring code compliance.

On-site surveys and coordination with project teams are essential. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and EIT certification, with Revit proficiency and knowledge of energy conservation

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing electrical power distribution infrastructure, fire alarm systems, interior and exterior lighting, and lighting controls.
• Familiar with short circuit, arc flash coordination, interior and exterior lighting design, and photometric calculations.
• Background in commercial and healthcare facilities strongly preferred.
• PE preferred; EIT certification required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of applicable codes including energy conservation.
• PE Preferred.
• EIT certification required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit design software with at least 1 year experience of formal design use.
• General understanding of Microsoft Office.
