Job summary

Our client in Reno, NV is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their R&D team. You will design, develop, test, and implement electrical and electronic systems for innovative products, leading portions of the development from concept through commercialization.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in analog/digital circuit design, motor controls, embedded electronics, power electronics, and proficiency with FPGAs, microcontrollers, and EMC compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in product development or R&D environments required.
• Experience with analog/digital circuit design, motor controls, and motor drives required.
• Experience with LTSpice, OrCAD, FPGAs, CPLDs, and microcontrollers required.
• Experience with EMC testing and FCC Class B compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for new product development projects
• Lead electrical engineering efforts from concept through production release
• Create analog and digital circuit designs, motor controls, and power electronics solutions
• Develop and integrate FPGA, CPLD, microcontroller, and embedded system technologies
• Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of prototypes and production systems
• Ensure designs meet FCC Class B EMC requirements and engineering standards
• Collaborate with PCB layout designers, manufacturing, and cross-functional engineering teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and test reports
• Present designs and recommendations during engineering reviews
• Provide technical support, mentorship, and troubleshooting assistance across the organization
