Job summary

Abbott seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, test, and sustain complex electromechanical medical devices. You will resolve component sourcing challenges and ensure compliance with IEC 60601, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971, while supporting cross-functional teams across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in electrical engineering, hands-on PCB design, and experience in a regulated industry, with a track record of CAPA and root-cause analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • 3–5+ years in electrical design for medical devices or regulated industries.
  • Hands-on PCB design and circuit tests; familiarity with IPC standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in existing products.
  • Lead CAPA and root cause analyses.
  • Generate schematics, test plans, and verification reports.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
