Job summary

Greywright Inc. is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the build-out and improvement of electrical design for complex maritime systems.

You will drive system-level decisions from power generation to protection across vessels with in-house and external components. You will shape board-level design for electronics designed to survive salt, moisture, shock, and wide temperature swings, and you will mentor other engineers while performing load and fault analyses and guiding environmental

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years system-level electrical design for complex vehicles or platforms.
• Experience with marine power management, batteries, distribution.
• EMI/EMC design and testing experience.
• Board design from schematic to layout for harsh environments.
• Proficiency with Altium and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve system-level electrical architecture for maritime systems.
• Design battery and energy storage, DC/AC distribution, load management.
• Define isolation, grounding, and bonding strategies.
• Lead board-level design reviews for harsh-environment electronics.
• Lead EMI/EMC design and ensure co-existence of radios, sensors, and control systems.
• Own wiring harness and cable architecture, connectors, routing for wet/high vibration.
• Perform load, fault, and short-circuit analyses; design for safe failure.
• Support environmental and qualification testing; drive design changes.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in lab and field; mentor engineers.
