Job summary

GBA in Lenexa, KS or Broomfield, CO is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for cleanrooms, manufacturing suites, and laboratory environments in life sciences facilities. You’ll partner with process, mechanical, and automation teams to deliver compliant, high-performance systems.

The role emphasizes design accuracy, regulatory knowledge (FDA/ EU), mentoring junior staff, and project management responsibilities, including budgeting and client communications.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required.
• 10+ years in pharma/biotech life sciences facilities.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SKM PowerTools, ETAP.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and NFPA 99 codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction drawings and specs for cleanrooms and labs.
• Design power distribution for critical manufacturing equipment.
• Engineer lighting and egress systems for pharma facilities.
• Perform load calculations and arc flash studies.
• Coordinate designs with process, mechanical, and automation teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee project docs.
