Job summary

Rosendin Electric in California seeks an Engineer III to deliver technical engineering information and ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and specifications. This senior role offers mentorship to junior staff and a path to leadership on high-profile electrical projects.

You will oversee engineers and designers, review submittals, coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams, and develop power systems designs, diagrams, and commissioning plans.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering with power distribution, lighting, and codes.
PE license required or able to obtain licensure in US.
Experience designing for complex electrical systems on large projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on a project basis or individual initiative.
May be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned.
Supervise, review, comment, and process equipment and system submittals.
Supervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades.
Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
Oversee preparation of power system single-line diagrams, including feeder, over current protection sizing, and equipment elevations.
Supervise or conduct short circuit and over-current protection device coordination studies and Arc Flash Studies.
Supervise or conduct distribution analysis, including voltage drop, voltage droop, and underground heat effect calculations.
