Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Boise, ID team. You will lead electrical design for facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low‑voltage systems, guiding designers and delivering high‑quality construction documents.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years of experience, NEC expertise, and a PE license, with strong collaboration skills to work with owners and contractors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering from an accredited university.
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure with ability to obtain in Idaho.
• At least 12 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems.
• Strong NEC (NFPA 70) knowledge and related calculations.
• Experience with electrical equipment spec, submittals, and field coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform, lead and oversee electrical engineering and design for facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low‑voltage systems.
• Supervise designer work, provide team technical leadership, and perform quality reviews of design packages.
• Prepare technical specifications and bid/construction documents; serve as Electrical discipline lead or QC reviewer.
• Collaborate with owners and contractors and support onsite construction activities.
• Participate in proposals and deliver proactive solutions to client challenges.
