AGNEW ASSOCIATES, INC. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for an on-site role in Austin, TX.

The candidate will lead the design and analysis of electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects, preparing drawings, specs, and calculations, and coordinating with project managers and other engineers. The role includes mentoring junior staff, client meetings, RFIs, and construction administration, with emphasis on quality, safety, and cost objectives across multiple concurrent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field; Master’s degree is a plus
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas, or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
• Familiarity with NEC/IEEE standards; local codes; AutoCAD or Revit and electrical design software tools
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and clear communication with clients and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects, including drawings, specifications and calculations
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineers; review design documents; perform load calculations and short-circuit studies; ensure codes and standards compliance
• Mentor junior staff, participate in client meetings, respond to RFIs, support field observations and construction administration
• Manage multiple projects, maintain quality control, and deliver solutions meeting performance, safety, and cost objectives
