Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Austin, TX. You will design electrical systems for institutional projects, produce REVIT drawings, and lead multi-disciplinary teams. The role requires a PE license and 10+ years of design experience.

You will coordinate with Owners and Architects, ensure code compliance, and contribute to client relations and business development. A strong emphasis on LEED familiarity is preferred and a people-first, impact-driven culture is highlighted.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of design experience as a registered engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including lighting and power for institutional projects.
• Develop lighting calculations and controls specifications.
• Prepare detailed REVIT design documents.
• Lead project teams and manage project delivery.
• Coordinate with Owners and Architects and other disciplines.
• Conduct code compliance research and documentation.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and mentor staff.
• Assist in business development and client relations.
