Job summary

Cryomagnetics, Inc. in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Instrumentation & Embedded Systems) to own and advance hardware, firmware, and host software across instrument lines.

You will address obsolescence, enable new capabilities, and work with customers to deliver robust measurement devices. You will design analog/digital circuits, develop embedded firmware in C/C++, and maintain driver and host software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years designing electronic products, preferably with NPD/EVT/DVT/PVT experience.
• Analog/mixed-signal circuit design, precision measurement front ends.
• Schematic capture and multilayer PCB layout in Altium or OrCAD.
• Embedded firmware development in C/C++ on microcontrollers.
• Lab skills with oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, power analyzers.
• Excel skills for test data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and revise analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for precision instruments.
• Develop low-level embedded firmware for instrument control and communication.
• Implement host-side software and instrument drivers for customers.
• Carry designs forward through component obsolescence and upgrades.
• Design and build custom instrumentation for customer applications.
• Support production, calibration, and end-of-line test.
• Troubleshoot field returns and drive design improvements.
• Maintain schematics, PCB files, firmware repositories, and docs.
