Job summary

PEAK Technical Services Inc. in Tampa seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical power and distribution system design for heavy industrial projects.

You will develop schematics, one-line diagrams, load lists, and grounding plans while guiding project teams. The role requires 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and expertise with ETAP and Allen-Bradley, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10–15 years of electrical engineering design experience, preferably in a project lead or senior capacity.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and industrial design.
• Experience with ETAP for modeling and analysis.
• Field experience in petrochemical/industrial environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical engineering activities from project initiation through completion.
• Develop and oversee detailed electrical power and distribution system designs.
• Prepare electrical calculations, analyses, studies, and equipment specifications.
• Develop and review schematics, wiring diagrams, one-line and three-line diagrams, power/lighting plans.
• Manage all aspects of detailed electrical system design and execution.
• Assign personnel and resources based on project needs and workload.
• Monitor schedules and budgets to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff.
• Review and seal final engineering documents and reports.
• Support front-end engineering studies and FEED packages.
• Perform load, short-circuit analyses, and protective device coordination.
