Job summary

Messer owns and operates a large portfolio of industrial gas plants, delivering electrical engineering support across ASU, CO2, H2 and He facilities. You will advise on major maintenance scope and contractor strategies, and ensure safety standards are applied to high/low voltage infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience in operations support or installation.
• Able to travel 25–40% of the time (60–80 nights/year).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, troubleshooting and maintenance support for ASU, CO2, H2 and He plants’ electrical systems.
• Support major maintenance scope, budget, and contractor selection for electrical work.
• Identify and assess CBM tools and reliability data with field teams.
• Review changes using EMOC and prepare engineering documentation.
• Create/approve electrical PMs, work instructions and procedures.
• Support field operations during upgrades, startups and testing.
• Provide scope and estimates to Project Execution for capital upgrades.
• Supervise electrical contractors to ensure quality and scope.
• Train plant personnel on NFPA 70E and review safety practices.
• Perform electrical training at site locations.
