Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 5–10 years of position-related experience.
• Experience with electrical engineering design for industrial controls and panels.
• Experience with industrial networking: Ethernet/IP, ProfiBus, ProfiNet, Devicenet, etc.
• Able to interpret NEC and local codes.
• Familiar with PLC programming, GUI programming, OS and networking.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiar with instrumentation and process control.
• Able to read electrical schematics; DIN standards a plus.
• Microsoft Visio, MS Office skills required.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Able to manage project schedules and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail industrial control systems.
• Interpret mechanical schematics to develop complete system designs.
• Generate design drawings and bill of equipment; select purchased equipment.
• Design & detail industrial control software: PLC/controller code and GUI code.
• Follow designs through fabrication, testing, and on-site startup.
• Manage electrical portion of projects; supervise subcontracts and scheduling.
• Maintain transmittal records and document control; communicate with customers.
• Develop subcontract bid package documentation; participate in design reviews.
• Support on-site installation team and perform site verification.
