Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to manage electrical power infrastructure across hyperscale data center projects from construction through commissioning and turnover. You will ensure designs meet performance, budget, and reliability targets while coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and construction stakeholders.

The role requires interdisciplinary collaboration to translate design intent into successful execution, with emphasis on HV/MV/LV

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in electrical design, project engineering, or construction management.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV distribution systems, backup power (generators/UPS), and applicable local codes.
• Experience reviewing and coordinating with external engineering firms.
• Detail oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the electrical scope across multiple project phases from concept to closeout.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, utility providers, and Owner stakeholders to define power strategies.
• Review design deliverables to ensure compliance with Owner standards and tenant requirements.
• Serve as the primary interface between internal teams and external electrical engineering consultants.
• Coordinate electrical scope with mechanical, structural, and commissioning teams for seamless integration.
• Act as the Owner's on-site electrical representative during construction.
• Monitor contractor performance for quality, safety, schedule, and cost compliance.
• Participate in site inspections, testing observations, and progress meetings.
• Validate electrical pay applications and change orders pricing.
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and procurement support for major electrical equipment.
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules focusing on milestones and long-lead equipment.
• Support commissioning activities including test procedures and system validation.
