Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of high-performance electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will guide circuit card assemblies, wiring design practices, and system validation, while mentoring junior engineers and driving cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience and strong CAD/CAE proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
• Expert proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools and CAD for electrical applications.
• Progressive experience in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
• Lead and execute the development of circuit card assemblies where applicable.
• Provide technical guidance for electrical wiring design practices.
• Oversee testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits at expert level.
• Develop, document, and review high-level designs, test plans, and results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Lead design reviews and provide strategic technical insights.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; promote technical growth.
• Contribute to strategic planning and process improvements.
