Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Colorado to lead design, development, and testing of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will guide circuit card assemblies, wiring design practices, and validation efforts across ISR, aviation, and security programs.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical engineering, strong CAD/EDA skills, and experience with EWIS, FMEA/SSA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
• Master’s degree preferred or higher may substitute for experience.
• Proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.
• Experience with EWIS requirements and related regulations.
• Experience with CAD tools for electrical design and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
• Lead and execute development of circuit card assemblies in some applications.
• Provide technical guidance for electrical wiring design practices.
• Conduct and oversee testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits at expert level.
• Develop and review high-level designs, test plans, and results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to strategic planning and process improvement.
