Job summary

Venteon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a manufacturing company in Canton, MI. The role requires 5+ years of senior electrical engineering experience, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and a Master Electrician license.

Travel will be frequent (60-80%), with interstate assignments. You will lead design and installation planning for power distribution, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards while coordinating with multiple teams on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Master Electrician certification and journeyman license.
• 10+ years of combined experience in electrical engineering or related fields.
• Able to travel frequently and operate in multiple sites nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety standards on project sites and comply with safety rules.
• Collaborate with Electrification Team to design power distribution systems and installation plans.
• Evaluate existing power systems for capacity and load, producing one-line drawings.
• Support lead designer in developing industrial power distribution systems.
• Coordinate with municipalities and inspectors for permits and approvals.
• Manage electrical subcontractors on site and supervise work quality.
• Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures before starting work.
