Job summary

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS Industrial) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support a Veterans Affairs hospital project in El Paso, TX. This full-time role focuses on electrical power, emergency systems, and low-voltage infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has extensive hospital electrical experience, VA standards knowledge, and strong leadership to manage design, commissioning, and field installation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years hospital/healthcare electrical systems experience.
• Minimum 10 years supporting electrical systems in acute care environments.
• Minimum 5 years experience with healthcare electronic and low-voltage systems.
• Electrical certifications/licensure preferred.
• Knowledge of VA Design Manual (PG-18-10) and NFPA/NEC/OSHA requirements.
• Experience with protective device coordination, short-circuit, and arc flash studies.
• Experience with fire alarm, mass notification, and life-safety systems.
• Knowledge of electronic security, structured cabling, and IT networking.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for electrical power, emergency power, and low-voltage systems.
• Provide engineering leadership for EES, generators, UPS, ATS, BMS, and cabling.
• Plan and manage Minor Construction and maintenance projects end to end.
• Manage A/E and construction contracts to VA standards.
• Lead IPTs and mentor staff across projects.
• Maintain drawings, specifications, PM/CM procedures, and documentation.
• Oversee commissioning, testing, acceptance, and turnover of systems.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and patient safety in operations.
• Collaborate with architects, IT, and facilities to ensure project delivery.
• Maintain cybersecurity for OT, networks, and control systems.
