Job summary

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to work full time on-site at a Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in El Paso, Texas. You will support design development, space planning, and documentation for healthcare facilities, collaborating with Senior Designers and project teams to ensure VA standards and project requirements are met.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field and 1–3 years of experience required; healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a closely related field from an accredited program.
• 1–3 years of professional interior design experience, preferably healthcare.
• Experience supporting healthcare interior design projects.
• Knowledge of space planning, color theory, and finish materials.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to learn VA design standards and pass credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support senior interior designers and project managers with interior design services for healthcare facilities, ensuring VA standards.
• Prepare construction documents, finish schedules, furniture plans, and presentation materials under supervision.
• Coordinate FF&E planning, inventories, procurement support, and asset tracking.
• Review samples, shop drawings, submittals, and mockups for compliance.
• Participate in site visits, field verification, and installation inspections.
• Assist with project activation activities including furniture installation and occupancy coordination.
• Maintain project files, budgets, schedules, and vendor information.
