Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Austin team. Lead design of medium to large-scale electrical systems in healthcare, laboratories, and other critical facilities; mentor staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

You will design power, lighting, and fire alarm systems, perform calculations, produce drawings and specifications, and present technical material to varied audiences. Strong BIM/Revit MEP experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, architectural, building services engineering or related field.
• 8+ years designing electrical systems for buildings.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills for a fast-evolving environment.
• Experience with 3D BIM software – Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for healthcare and mission-critical projects, with focus on power, lighting, and fire alarm.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximize project outcomes.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate with project managers and other disciplines.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals; perform site construction administration.
