Job summary

Addium, Inc. in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and validate complex electrical systems from concept through production.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, embedded, mechanical, and systems teams to deliver reliable solutions and drive projects through EVT/DVT/PVT gates. Responsibilities include leading analog/mixed-signal design, EMC/compliance, and wireless sensor components, while partnering with contract manufacturers to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 8-10+ years of industry experience
• Very strong PCB design ability including analog/mixed-signal and power electronics layout
• Demonstrated experience designing for EMC compliance (CE, FCC)
• Working knowledge of test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer)
• Familiarity with wireless sensor networking concepts (mesh or LPWAN) a plus
• Experience with design history, requirements traceability, and Confluence/Jira/PLM documentation
• Experience analyzing product testing needs and performing tests
• Comfort with stage-gate NPI process (EVT/DVT/PVT) and DFM/DFT with CMs
• Cross-divisional understanding and industry application knowledge in Addium products
• Altium tools proficiency (Altium Designer/365/Develop)

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and drive complex electrical systems from concept to production.
• Lead analog/mixed-signal and power electronics design to meet product requirements.
• Own EMC design-for-compliance and work with labs for CE/FCC certification.
• Collaborate with firmware/embedded and mechanical teams on interfaces and packaging.
• Support wireless subsystem design and integration (Wirepas mesh, LoRa).
• Partner with contract manufacturers on DFM/DFT reviews and EVT/DVT/PVT gates.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous learning.
• Lead design initiatives for new products and ensure successful market entry.
