Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Reno area to design, validate and sustain hardware for LnW Gaming products. You will work on embedded systems, analyze requirements, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable electrical platforms for casino and gaming applications.

The role emphasizes circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and test automation, with a focus on EMC/EMI compliance, grounding schemes, and harness integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in electronics or related field.
  • 2–5 years in electrical hardware development and sustainment.
  • Experience with embedded systems and computer architecture.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Knowledge of USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS-232/RS-485, JTAG, and PCIe.

Responsibilities

  • Design, qualify, test electronic components, sub-assemblies, and systems.
  • Provide sustainment for existing hardware products.
  • Perform design validation and test on newly designed and existing electronic products.
  • Project manager for various development, test, and sustaining engineering tasks.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and internal teams for electrical product support.
  • Investigate root cause analysis of electrical assemblies and implement corrective actions.
  • Support engineering quality efforts in cooperation with vendors and internal LnW teams.
