Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, testing and support of high-performance digital processing electronics for defense applications. You will focus on FPGA and SoC based systems, drive architectures, and collaborate across teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

The role requires a B.S. in electrical or computer engineering with 8+ years’ experience, expertise with Cadence/Allegro, and hands-on work on digital electronics,

Qualifications

B.S. in electrical or computer engineering with 8+ years of experience.
Expertise in high-speed transceivers, video interfaces, USB/UART/SPI/I2C.
Experience debugging at the circuit level and reviewing circuit-card layouts.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, modify and analyze high-performance digital processing electronics centered on FPGA/SoCs.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and implement modifications.
Support testing and documentation of products and subsystems.
Collaborate with customers and teams to meet requirements and cost targets.
Provide technical guidance and leadership to other engineers.
