Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is seeking a Senior ATS Electrical Engineer to perform electrical testing and engineering analyses in the field and labs, addressing arc-flash, grounding and failure investigations. The role supports PPE evaluations and safety programs, with LabVIEW data acquisition and reporting responsibilities.

The position is onsite in Danville/San Ramon, with salary ranges disclosed and a Bay Area base.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in a related discipline (mechanical, civil or electrical).
5 years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical engineering analyses, including arc-flash studies, failure investigations, and power system evaluations.
Support PPE and flame-resistant clothing evaluations related to electrical safety.
Utilize LabVIEW and related tools for test data acquisition and analysis.
Lead field and laboratory testing; prepare technical reports, specifications, and recommendations.
Apply independent judgment to resolve complex technical issues with safety impact.
Plan and lead projects including scope, schedule, and budget; support client proposals.
Interface with clients to define requirements and ensure satisfaction.
Provide technical expertise to stakeholders and represent PG&E in forums.
