Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience (or equivalent combinations).
• Strong knowledge of schematic capture and multilayer PCB design.
• Hand soldering proficiency (PTH and SMT).
• Test equipment proficiency (Oscilloscope, Function Gen, Multimeter).
• C++ programming on embedded devices.
• Knowledge of IPC-2221A/UL-840 or equivalent board design practices.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with teams across the organization.
• Experience with CAN bus and RS-485.
• Experience with Power electronics design.
• Experience with mixed signal circuit design.

Responsibilities

• Design and test electrical circuits to support EV battery testing.
• Build prototypes and work with E-lab production to modify devices.
• Oversee and review the work of a small staff of engineers and technicians.
• Maintain and improve existing engineering processes.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment.
• Assist with recruitment, training, and onboarding.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and to specs.
• Act as subject matter expert for electrical engineering activities.
• Document wiring harnesses/diagrams.
• Test and debug hardware and firmware.
