Chemring Energetic Devices in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Electronic Safe & Arm Fire (ESAF) line. You will lead development and qualification of electronic safe and arm devices, interfacing with customers and safety boards, and guiding early design decisions.

Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in fuze/ignition safety or flight termination, and experience with Altium, LTSpice, and MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in electronic fuze, ignition safety devices, or flight termination system development.
• Experience with LTSpice and MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation.
• Experience in module design, circuit analysis, layout, and test environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop electronic safe and arm devices through qualification against MIL-1316, MIL-1901 and RCC-319.
• Provide design leadership and act as the technical point of contact with customers and safety boards.
• Design, build, test, and evaluate electronic prototypes.
• Conduct circuit simulations and produce schematics/PCB designs using Altium or similar tools.
• Lead technical meetings such as SRR, PDR, CDR, PRR, and government safety reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation including BOMs, procedures, and SOWs.
