Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE).
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Florida is mandatory.
8–12+ years in MEP consulting with a focus on building systems.
Advanced expertise in Revit MEP and AutoCAD; proficiency in SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.
Expert-level knowledge of NEC, Florida Building Code, and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

Engineer of Record: take ultimate responsibility for electrical designs with signed and sealed drawings for permitting and construction in Florida.
Lead Design: oversee power distribution, backup generation, lighting control, and fire alarm integration.
Technical Analysis: conduct high-level studies (Arc Flash, Short Circuit, Coordination) using SKM/ETAP.
Project Oversight: manage projects from client briefing to commissioning, ensuring budgets and deadlines.
Quality Control: perform peer reviews for coordination and design integrity.
Client Liaison: serve as primary technical contact for architects, developers, and officials.
