Job summary

ECF Engineering Consultants in Florida is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design of complex power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for commercial and institutional projects.

You will prepare construction documents, coordinate with architects and other engineers, manage budgets and schedules, perform field reviews, and ensure compliance with NEC and NFPA codes. PE license desired; willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
7–10 years of experience in engineering of related projects.
Strong understanding of NEC, Life Safety Code NFPA 101, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, and IBC.
Experience with system design software, CADD, and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

Design of electrical systems for large-scale projects including power distribution, lighting, standby/emergency generators, IT networks, access control, and fire alarm systems.
Prepare electrical construction documents, drawings, specifications, and reports.
Coordinate with clients, architects, and other disciplines; ensure fully coordinated interdisciplinary design.
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance and timely completion; review invoices and change orders.
Serve as project engineer or project manager on assigned projects; ensure documentation and records are maintained.
