Kings III Emergency Communications is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the hardware design of our emergency communication devices, sustaining legacy hardware while guiding a transition to a connected, digital platform.

You will lead schematic, PCB, and firmware work, ensuring certifications from the outset, and partnering with cloud teams to define device-to-cloud data protocols for reliable, scalable operation.

Competenze

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 8+ years hardware design.
• Strong schematic capture and PCB design with Altium.
• C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M) with RTOS.
• Experience with cellular modules and IoT protocols (MQTT, TLS).
• Familiar with UL/FCC/PTCRB/FirstNet certs for cellular hardware.

Mansioni

• Own electrical and firmware design across the product line.
• Drive schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware bring-up.
• Design cellular hardware to meet UL/FCC/PTCRB/FirstNet from the outset.
• Design power architecture for battery-backed devices and low-power modes.
• Lead firmware architecture for connected devices and OTA updates.
• Define device-to-cloud data protocols and APIs with cloud teams.
• Build remote diagnostics, fleet health, and secure firmware signing.
• Maintain design documents across legacy and next-gen hardware.
