Your Talent Team is assisting a growing employee-owned engineering firm in Burlington, VT, seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on diverse projects from basis of design through construction and startup. The role emphasizes leadership development from within the firm.

The Electrical Engineer will guide power distribution, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure NEC/NFPA70E compliance, with on-site responsibilities in Burlington.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Professional Engineer, Vermont registration or eligibility.
• Experience designing electrical systems for industrial, semiconductor, life sciences, or process-driven facilities.
• Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E.
• Experience running power system studies in SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.
• Semiconductor facility experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution for industrial and critical facilities, including low- and medium-voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting and lighting control, standby generation, and fire alarm.
• Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Prepare one-lines, load calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and controls engineers on integrated facility designs.
• Support construction administration, including submittal and RFI review and site visits.
• Review and seal drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
