Job summary

Erdos Miller designs and manufactures industry-leading directional drilling electronics and software. This role focuses on hands-on design from schematic through commercialization, close to the hardware, and real-world testing.

Ideal candidates have a decade of electrical engineering experience in industrial settings, with exposure to downhole/high-temperature electronics and MWD systems; they should excel in troubleshooting, manufacturing support, and field investigations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as an electrical/electronics engineer, ideally in industrial electronics.
• Experience with downhole and high‑temperature electronics is a plus
• Experience with MWD electronics is a plus
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and manufacturing support
• Experience performing in‑depth failure analysis and system troubleshooting
• Ability to solve challenging technical problems and make sound engineering recommendations
• Understanding of how to balance quality, reliability, and urgency

Responsibilities

• Design R&D electronics for new drilling technologies involving sensors, signal processing, embedded systems, and related hardware
• Provide sustaining engineering and manufacturing support for existing product lines
• Troubleshoot electronics, calibrations, and manufacturing processes
• Perform in‑depth failure analysis and support corrective actions
• Travel occasionally for customer support, troubleshooting, or field investigations
