Erdos Miller designs and manufactures industry-leading directional drilling electronics and software. This role focuses on hands-on design from schematic through commercialization, close to the hardware, and real-world testing.
Ideal candidates have a decade of electrical engineering experience in industrial settings, with exposure to downhole/high-temperature electronics and MWD systems; they should excel in troubleshooting, manufacturing support, and field investigations.
Electrical / Electronics Engineer
We design and manufacture industry-leading directional drilling electronics and software used in some of the harshest environments on earth. Our products help customers drill smarter, faster, and more reliably.
We invest in our customers because their success is our success. We care deeply about our craft and are committed to delivering exceptional products, support, and experiences.
We’re looking for a hands‑on electrical/electronics engineer who can take designs from schematic through commercialization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving hard problems, working close to the hardware, and seeing their designs perform in the real world.
You will be involved in the design of downhole electronics and surface systems, working on new technology and R&D projects that push the limits of what is possible. Your work may include schematic capture, PCB layout, testing, validation, and field support for new products and technologies.
Our production line needs engineering insight. You’ll troubleshoot electronics, learn how MWD sensors are calibrated, and help improve manufacturing and test processes. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and reliability of our products, while providing critical feedback to the engineering team on issues seen in production and in the field.
The only way to make something better is to understand why it failed. You will perform in-depth failure analysis, determine root causes, and help implement corrective actions. Because we take customer support seriously, there may be times when you travel to customer locations to troubleshoot issues on‑site.
Expect to learn a lot. We are constantly pushing ourselves and our technology forward. We frequently prototype and test new concepts in the lab, then take products from early development through full‑scale field deployment.
