Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Syracuse, NY, invites a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware to join a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology program. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on digital hardware, FPGA design, high-speed interfaces, and rapid prototyping within a multidisciplinary team.

You will design multi-layer PCBs, develop FPGA solutions using VHDL/Verilog on Xilinx platforms, and implement automated tests and production support, collaborating across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.
• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
• Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
• Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and communication architectures.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

• Altium Designer.

• RF Systems or Software Defined Radio (SDR).
