Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions in Syracuse is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware to lead design of advanced digital hardware, FPGA solutions, and high-speed interfaces for DoD sensing technology.

The role requires a BS in EE, 5+ years in digital hardware, VHDL/Verilog, PCB design, and hands-on lab bench experience. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are required. On-site position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of digital hardware design experience.
• Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
• Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
• Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
• Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, DSP, and communication architectures.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
