What You Will Do
  • Research, develop, design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate an electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuring work is completed on time and within quality and budget targets.
  • Prepare engineering sketches or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment, products, or systems.
  • Prepare documentation including descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance.
  • Perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met.
  • Produce products according to specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means.
  • Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components (PM&P) including power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems, servomechanisms, circuit theory, computer design and development, instrumentation, radio communications, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and television systems.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Active DoD security clearance.
  • Experience in designing digital and analog products including microprocessor systems, low‑power supplies, communication subsystems.
  • Experience with mixed signal design including SoC/FPGAs, A/D Converters, Digital Down Converters, D/A Converters, Digital Waveform Generators, Mixed Signal CCAs, Mixed Signal Modules and Subsystems.
  • Experience with developing test procedures, test fixtures and EMI/EMC standards for military applications.
  • Experience with ALM tools including Jira and Confluence, DOORS, MatLab, LT Spice, and DX.
  • Experience with interfacing to RF circuitry and high‑speed A/D D/A conversion.
Compensation

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
