Job summary

Raytheon in Massachusetts is seeking a hardware engineer to design and validate digital electronic modules and circuit card assemblies for aerospace and defense applications. The role involves taking designs from requirements through verification and integration, working with processors, FPGAs, memory, and high-speed interfaces, and collaborating across engineering disciplines. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, integrate, and troubleshoot digital electronic modules and circuit card assemblies.
• Take hardware designs from requirements and block diagrams through detailed design, verification, testing, and integration.
• Work with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry-standard interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Troubleshoot existing hardware, analyze failures, determine root causes, and develop solutions to challenging technical problems.
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, mechanical, software, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and quality engineers to deliver reliable hardware that meets demanding requirements.
• Work with sub-tier suppliers to resolve technical and production issues.
• Use simulation, analysis tools, and electronic test equipment to validate hardware performance.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects while working with a high degree of autonomy.
• Communicate technical information through clear documentation and formal presentations.
• Travel less than 10% annually.

Raytheon’s Hardware Electrical Engineering team designs, validates, qualifies, and supports production of digital electronic circuit cards and electronic units used in demanding aerospace and defense applications. Relocation Assistance

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
