Job summary

Jobot seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex electrical systems in Alcalde, KY. The role offers on-site, permanent employment with relocation benefits and a chance to drive capital projects from concept to commissioning.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical engineering, power plant exposure, and a PE license is preferred. You will mentor juniors, work with cross-functional teams, and uphold safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's considered an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical engineering, focusing on design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Experience in a power plant or similar industrial setting with understanding of equipment/operations.
• Experience developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; ability to lead project teams and mentor juniors.
• Proficiency in CAD and other engineering software.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex electrical systems and equipment meeting requirements and regulations.
• Perform detailed electrical analyses using CAD tools.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with engineers and professionals.
• Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation.
• Stay updated with latest electrical engineering developments and introduce new technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
