Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering team. You will design, develop, integrate, test, and produce electrical hardware and subsystems for defense programs, with responsibilities spanning schematics, PCB layouts, wiring harnesses, and interconnects.

You will lead technical activities, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with suppliers while producing verification records and technical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or closely related STEM field from an accredited university; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience with electrical hardware design or related discipline
  • Experience in electrical hardware design for development and/or production in aerospace or similar industry
  • Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA)
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware like CCAs, harnesses, etc.
  • Strong hands-on skills with electrical/electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, DMMs, automated test equipment)
  • Proven background providing production line support, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the main technical contact for assigned hardware deliverables throughout development and production.
  • Providing technical leadership to subsystem suppliers, ensuring requirements flow down and hardware meets all specifications.
  • Owning hardware disposition through MRBE processes.
  • Leading yield investigations, failure-review boards, and root-cause analyses, and driving corrective-action implementation.
  • Creating and iterating electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring harnesses, and interconnect designs.
  • Performing electrical testing, firmware/FPGA verification, and electromechanical packaging reviews.
  • Leading weekly supplier meetings and communicating clear status updates to program leadership, LockheedMartin, and government customers.
  • Producing concise technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, test reports, and verification records.
  • Assisting with technical proposals and risk assessments for new initiatives.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and fostering an inclusive, collaborative team environment.
