Job summary

Maverick Power is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design, development, and implementation of advanced DC power systems for critical infrastructure, including data centers and telecom. The role emphasizes reliability, efficiency, and scalable power solutions.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in electrical engineering, DC power distribution, and a proven record of delivering high-performance power systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in DC power systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proven expertise in designing and deploying DC power systems for data centers, telecom, or renewable energy applications.
• Proficiency in DC power system design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, PSpice).
• Deep knowledge of power electronics, battery technologies (e.g., lithium-ion, VRLA), and energy storage systems.

Responsibilities

• System Design & Development: Lead the design of high-efficiency DC power systems, including rectifiers, inverters, battery backup systems, and PDUs for mission-critical applications.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with IEEE/UL/NEC standards.
• Project Management: Oversee end-to-end lifecycles from requirements to testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Performance Optimization: Improve energy efficiency, reliability, and scalability; integrate renewables where applicable.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex power system issues to minimize downtime.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work with suppliers to select and qualify power components; ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Documentation: Create detailed schematics, specifications, and manuals.
• Innovation: Stay current with DC power tech and contribute to R&D and patent filings.
