Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Gilbert, AZ to lead electrical system design for data centre applications. You will supervise junior designers, stamp engineering designs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You will oversee electrical design of AHU, CDU, MDC, and related components, perform NEC/CEC compliance, and drive continuous improvement through SOPs and VAVE initiatives. Occasional travel in Gilbert, AZ region may be required.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree and AZ PE licensure.
• 8+ years in low/medium voltage electrical design/drafting.
• Familiar with NEC/CEC, UL/CSA for LV/MV design.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license; occasional travel to Gilbert facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design for data centre equipment.
• Develop electrical drawings: schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts.
• Review performance components and SOPs with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure code compliance and documentation, BOMs, and ECNs.
• Mentor junior designers and engineers.
