Job summary

Johnson Controls' Silent-Aire division seeks an energetic electrical engineer to lead electrical system design for data center applications (AHU, CDU, MDC) in a hybrid role based in Gilbert, AZ.

You will collaborate across teams, perform calculations, prepare drawings, test equipment, and support manufacturing, commissioning, and warranty. 2–6 years' MV/LV design experience and PE eligibility in AZ are preferred.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Degree and eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona.
• 2-6 years of work experience in low/medium voltage electrical design, drafting and/or manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of NEC/CEC, UL/CSA as they pertain to low/medium voltage electrical design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical design leadership for data center equipment including AHU, CDU and MDC.
• Create and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Perform electrical calculations (MCA, MOP, circuit loading) and support testing/production issues.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, prepare BOMs, submittals and SOPs.
• Support manufacturing, commissioning and warranty activities and contribute to continuous improvement.
