Job summary

GEE Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. You will design high-availability systems, balance hands-on execution with client-facing leadership, and mentor junior engineers to uphold engineering excellence.

You will lead projects from concept to closeout, sign and seal drawings, and partner with clients to deliver robust, scalable power solutions while advancing internal practices and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Active PE licensure or progress toward PE.
• 5+ years in electrical engineering, data centers preferred.
• Expertise in medium/low-voltage power distribution.
• Experience signing drawings and client-facing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Drive Technical Excellence: Perform advanced electrical design and analysis, including capacity calculations, system layouts, equipment selection, and life-cycle cost evaluations.
• Lead Projects End-to-End: Manage projects from conceptual design through construction administration and final closeout, meeting scope, schedule, and budget targets.
• Serve as Engineer of Record: Sign and seal engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Partner with Clients: Act as the primary engineering contact, present proposals, lead project meetings, and build long-term relationships.
