Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design, test, and release of new products within a cross-functional development group. You will manage a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment and solve complex problems where no precedence exists.

Responsibilities include designing custom control hardware for data center cooling, PCBs, and PHYs for Ethernet/I2C/CAN, bringing designs to production, and collaborating across teams to reduce costs and address customer pain

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
10+ years of product development experience with increasing responsibilities.
Proficiency with PCB design and simulation software packages.
Strong understanding of circuit theory, components, and signal integrity.
Familiarity with Ethernet, I2C, CAN and other standard protocols.

Responsibilities

Design custom control hardware for data center cooling infrastructure.
Design PCBs and transition designs into functional hardware with vendors.
Design PHYs and communication hardware for Ethernet, CAN, I2C, Serial, BACnet, Modbus.
Take new designs to production, including testing and bring-up.
Collaborate across teams for reviews, cost reductions, and problem-solving.
