Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead controls projects across commercial and industrial facilities. You will design, test, and implement electrical systems, PLCs, and automation solutions while mentoring junior staff.

Your role requires strong knowledge of Rockwell (required), Mitsubishi/Siemens preferred, and expertise with AutoCAD Electrical, Vault, and Power BI for reporting. Expect significant travel and collaboration across plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or 3 years + master’s; or PhD without experience.
• Proficiency in Rockwell Automation PLC programming; Mitsubishi/Siemens experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Ladder Logic, Sequencer instructions (SFC/SQI/SQO), servo drives, VFDs, and Safety PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-to-large-scale controls projects across plant operations.
• Develop and manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and documentation.
• Designs, installs, and optimizes electrical equipment, control systems, and automation solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors for deployment and commissioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and coach project teams.
