Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Construction) to design power distribution systems for healthcare, data centers, and industrial facilities. You will size equipment, perform calculations, and develop drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA/FGI. On-site work in Sterling Heights, MI with 100% benefits, 401k match, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer (Construction or Industrial).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, or data centers.
• Knowledge of power distribution, backup power, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, and electrical analysis software.
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, FGI, and energy codes.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution systems for commercial, industrial, data centers, and hospitals.
• Size and specify transformers, switchgear, panelboards, UPS systems, generators, ATSs, feeders, and protective devices.
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit and arc flash studies, and energy code compliance reviews.
• Develop electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, FGI, and other applicable standards.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, architects, contractors, and project teams throughout project execution.
• Design lighting systems and perform photometric analyses using AGi32.
