Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a hybrid role in the Appleton, WI area. The candidate will design power distribution, lighting, and grounding for industrial projects, coordinating with contractors and client engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and installing medium- and low-voltage distribution equipment.
• Deep familiarity with NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA standards and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage on-site plant projects independently with quality and safety.
• Strong organizational skills with budgeting and client/maintenance collaboration.
• Experience with CAD/BIM tools including Revit/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design power system facilities and equipment from conception to operation/maintenance.
• Create conceptual layouts and sketches for project designs.
• Lead detailed phases of electrical engineering projects including planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Develop equipment and construction specifications and scope of work for contractors.
• Oversee installation integrity and compliance with design and safety standards.
• Produce technical docs: one-line diagrams, wiring drawings, panel layouts, motor schematics.
• Address grounding requirements across high resistance and isolated grounding systems.
• Provide on-site startup support to ensure project success.

What you’ll be doing

Join us in transforming industrial landscapes through innovative electrical engineering solutions. You'll leverage extensive experience to drive the design of power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems for a variety of industrial projects. From enhancing small facility modifications to orchestrating complex EPC contracts across sectors like pulp and paper, chemicals, food and beverage, consumer products, and pharmaceuticals, your impact will be profound.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing power system facilities and equipment, ensuring seamless coordination from conception to operation and maintenance.
• Creating conceptual layouts and sketches to optimize project-specific designs.
• Leading detailed phases of electrical engineering projects, contributing to planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Developing precise equipment and construction specifications, alongside comprehensive scope of work documents for contractors.
• Overseeing installation integrity, ensuring compliance with design, equipment specifications, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in designing and installing medium and low-voltage distribution equipment, ideally within consulting engineering or construction.
• Deep familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA), ensuring compliance and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage on-site plant projects independently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines and operating within budgets, collaborating effectively with client engineers and maintenance teams.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and CAD systems, including AutoCAD.
• Preferred PE license or EIT certificate with the potential to obtain a PE license.
