IMEG is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina, to lead design efforts as a project manager or lead engineer for moderate to complex building projects. This role focuses on project management, engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems while providing project direction, engineering solutions, and technical advice to clients and project teams. You will work within project budgets, support training and mentoring efforts, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. Working with a team active in housing and multifamily, commercial, and retail projects throughout the Southeast, you will help deliver integrated building systems solutions while advancing high‑performance, energy‑efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required
PE License required
7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
Design MEP systems for high‑profile commercial, mixed‑use, multifamily, retail, hospitality, and restaurant projects throughout the Southeast. Work on complex developments involving residential and office space above retail, structured parking, specialty lighting, restaurant exhaust, and flexible tenant systems. Recent work includes The Collection at Forsyth, Commercial.
