MEPOwnership: 100% employee-owned (ESOP)Travel: Up to 20 %Work Schedule: Full-time hybridSponsorship: Not availableWhat You'll DoLead design efforts for the analysis of electrical and lighting systems in support of commercial interiors and tenant improvement projects.Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems, creating designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software and tools according to code requirements and IMEG standards.Interact with clients to understand project needs, gather requirements, communicate technical information, and build client relationships through professional communication.Support the execution of consulting projects as part of a project team.Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives .Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring design progress, percent complete, and fee expended .Analyze engineering problems and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical, efficient solutions.Provide in-process design reviews of electrical system designs, calculations, and specifications, and implement IMEG quality control processes to meet quality, industry, and client requirements.Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work and identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager.Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phase.Train and mentor less experienced staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.What You'll BringRequiredEducation and ExperienceBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) License required2 years of experience minimum required , 4 preferred, in the building design consulting industry with previous experience in the commercial interiors market sectorSkills and AbilitiesProficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specificationsStrong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildingsProficient with industry standard engineering software and tools including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or other;
